DecoTurf
The DecoTurf system is the best-known
tennis court surface in the world. DecoTurf is
the ultimate cushioned system. The worlds most prestigious hard
court events are played on it, because touring professionals and
tournament directors ask for it by name.
DecoTurf is simply unmatched in
providing a full depth resilient surface with precise speed control.
It provides both maximum player comfort, custom-tailored speed of
play, and exceptional durability.
The surface of choice for Athens 2004!
The new complex built to host the tennis events during this summers
Olympic Games in Athens, Greece will have blue DecoTurf
tennis courts. DecoSystems, a division of California Products
Corporation is supplying all the cushioned DecoTurf playing
surfaces for this year's Olympic tennis matches.
The Olympic Organizing Committee has chosen Deco
Classic Royal Blue for the inbounds playing area and Deco Classic
Light Blue for the out-of-bounds area on all sixteen courts. In
addition, Show Court One & Two and the premier Centre Court
will have the Olympic rings painted on the surface behind each baseline.
"The color choices made by the Olympic committee not only offer
a beautiful background for the venue, but also allow excellent visual
ball to court contrast. All of the color combinations we presented
to the committee underwent rigorous testing before a final selection
was offered," says John Graham, Managing Director of DecoSystems.
"We're very pleased with the colors they chose; it differentiates
the courts from other events and still maintains a degree of conservatism."
